Coverage

Four duty layers monitored automatically

A single HTS code can carry duty obligations from multiple sources. TariffClassify tracks all of them.

Base MFN Duty Rate

Changes to the column 1 general duty rate from the 2026 HTSUS — the baseline rate applied to all imports regardless of origin.

Section 301 Tariffs

Rate changes to China-origin Section 301 duties (Lists 1–4A), currently at 7.5% or 25% depending on the HTS code.

IEEPA Emergency Duties

Changes to IEEPA baseline duties (currently 10% on most countries) and per-country override rates applied on top of base and Section 301 rates.

AD/CVD Orders

New or modified antidumping and countervailing duty orders, which can add significant additional duty burdens specific to product and country combinations.

Up to 50 HTS codes

Add codes manually or save them from any classification result with one click. Each entry can include a country of origin and a custom label.

Daily automated checks

Every watchlist item is checked at 03:00 UTC against the live TariffOverlay dataset. No manual checking required.

Email alert with diff

When a rate changes, you receive an email showing the previous rate and the new rate side by side, with a direct link to review the updated HTS code.

How it works

Set up monitoring in four steps

01

Classify your product

Use the AI classifier to identify the correct 10-digit HTS code. The classification result page includes a one-click Watch button.

02

Save to your watchlist

Click Watch on any result, or add an HTS code manually from your watchlist page. Include country of origin to monitor country-specific duty rates.

03

TariffClassify checks daily

Every item on your watchlist is automatically compared against the current TariffOverlay database at 03:00 UTC each day.

04

Receive rate-change alerts

When anything changes, you get an email with the old rate and new rate for each affected duty type — base, Section 301, IEEPA, or AD/CVD.

FAQ

Common questions

Is the watchlist available on all plans?
The watchlist and rate-change alerts are available to all registered TariffClassify users. You can save any HTS code directly from a classification result at no extra cost. Saving codes manually from the watchlist page requires a paid credit or an active subscription.
Which duty types does TariffClassify monitor?
TariffClassify monitors four duty types for each watchlist item: base MFN duty rate from the 2026 HTSUS, Section 301 tariffs for China-origin goods (7.5% or 25%), IEEPA baseline duties and per-country override rates, and antidumping and countervailing duty (AD/CVD) orders. Changes to any of these trigger an alert.
How quickly will I be notified of a rate change?
Watchlist checks run once daily at 03:00 UTC. If a rate change is detected, the alert email is sent the same morning. For time-sensitive shipments, always verify rates directly via the HTS lookup tool on the day of entry.
Can I monitor the same HTS code for multiple countries of origin?
Yes. Each watchlist entry is a combination of an HTS code and a country of origin. To monitor the same HTS code for two different origins — for example, China and Vietnam — add two separate watchlist entries. Each is checked and alerted independently.
What does the alert email look like?
The alert email shows the HTS code, your custom label, and a side-by-side comparison of the previous rates and the current rates for each duty type that changed. A direct link to the HTS lookup page for that code is included so you can review the full duty picture immediately.
